Does anyone know how to remedy this issue. A white box keeps requesting me to connect air pods, but I don’t have AirPods. I live in an apartment, so someone must have them near me.
Turn off bluetooth if you don't use it. Otherwise I am not sure you can disable it. As you can see in the document below, the setup process is not very refined and your device has no way of knowing those aren't your Airpods trying to connect.

Unfortunately, if you live near someone who has Airpods and they are close enough to be seen by your Bluetooth receiver in your iPad, you'll get this notification. I honestly don't think there's anything you can do except to turn off Bluetooth if you don't need it on your iPad.
