It’s meant to keep you in a breathing rhythm. Inhale when it’s tapping, exhale when it’s not.

"Start a session

  1. Press the Digital Crown to go to the Home screen, then open the Breathe app.
  2. Turn the Digital Crown to set the session's length.
  3. Tap Start when you're ready. Remember to stay still while you breathe.
  4. Inhale as the animation grows and your watch taps your wrist. Then exhale as the animation shrinks and the taps stop
  5. Breathe until the session ends and your watch taps you twice and chimes.* When you're done, you can see your heart rate.

When you use the Breathe app, your watch mutes some notifications, so you can focus. If you answer a call or move too much during a session, the session ends automatically, and you won’t get credit."

OK, thank you, but that doesn't seem to be what happens. #4 would imply it taps during inhale and then #5 says taps stop during exhale and #5 says it taps twice when done. My doesn't do that. It seems to tap a couple of times somewhere in the middle. Any idea why?

In the settings for Breathe on the watch it says "Haptics: None, Minimal or Prominent" What does that do?

Ideally it wouldn't tap at all during the breathing, just at the end, so I set it to "None" but not sure exactly what it's supposed to do.

Thanks for any light you can shed on this mystery.
