if i give apple my phone # to call me back for support, do they keep/sell it for sales calls or robocalls?

They call you back at that number and do nothing else with it. If it is the number you have in your Apple ID account it is retained and can be used for verification purposes but it is not sold/given to anyone for any purpose.
