MacBook Pro 2019 shuts itself down unexpectedly
I just bought a 13" MacBook Pro 2 days ago and whenever the battery reaches 60% it shuts down and will not turn back on unless I plug it in to charge. When I get it back on it shows me that I have 0% when it was more than halfway charged just minutes before. I have tried resetting the SCM, NVRAM and I contacted support who told me to exchange it for another computer. I've read other people's issues that sound similar and when they exchanged the laptop they had the same issue with the new one, so I am wary of going down that route. I read that someone else charged it to 100% and let it sit for 8 hours and then tried resetting the SCM and that worked for them, so I will give that a try tonight. If it doesn't work I have a Genius Bar appointment tomorrow evening to check it out. In the meantime, does anyone else have any other solutions they can think of to fix this or an answer to why this is happening?
