Presumably, by now, you've tried again but without any luck, which means that the truck's stereo has been re-started.
Perhaps a setting on your iPod is causing the issue: I would try re-starting your iPod - in other words, do a full power off and turn on again. You could even try using the Settings/General/Reset/Reset All Settings option, which does what is says. Do not use the Erase All Content and Settings, because that is exactly what will happen - all your content will be deleted from your iPod.
If a reset doesn't sort this out, try starting the iPod playing before physically connecting it to your truck's stereo. So:
- start the iPod playing
- turn on the car's stereo
- plug the iPod into the car stereo. If the iPod pauses, try tapping the Play button on your iPod
- try a different USB cable*
- try a different USB port if your truck has more than one. By the way, if it does, is the truck stereo looking at the correct USB port when you plug in the iPod?*
Any luck?
