ipad 3 ios software 10.3.3

Hi Apple community

I currently watch most streaming sites on my ipad. One streaming app is not working now as it needs to run on IOS 11 software or later. Please can someone advice when apple is going to release a more update software for ipads? I think it really unfair that apple just don’t realise a software update for all devices?. My iphone is on ios 12.4. Why can’t my ipad software be updated?

If you need the advantages of the newer iOS levels, then you need a newer iPad capable of running them.

There's nothing unfair here. Your device is now too old, too under powered and completely incapable of running 64 bit software which is now required for the newer iOS levels.

You can't expect a device to receive updates forever. No manufacturer does that. NONE.

Either live with an out of date device as it is or upgrade to one which is modern and capable. Those are your choices.

You actually own an iPad 4th generation.

An iPad 4th gen cannot upgrade/update beyond iOS 10.3.

An iPad 4th gen is a 7-year old iPad,,now.

It's internal hardware is just simply too old, underpowered and totally incompatible all current and newer 64-bit iOS versions, now.

Sorry.

You want to run the latest and greatest iOS versions with all of the most up to date, current apps then you will need to purchase a new or discounted, refurbished iPad from Apple.

These are your only options.

Best of Luck to You!

It's not unfair. Apple really supports the iOS devices for a really long time. But 7 years is just too much to ask. The internal hardware of your iPad is just too old for iOS 11 / 12. Please get a new iPad.
