I've been trying for over a week to move my iTunes library of music into YouTube. YouTube is not recognizing my music format. I changed it to MP3, and still nothing. Its telling me it must be in MP4 format, but that is not an option offered by my ITunes pull down menu. Can someone offer a suggestion? Thx in advance from this old timer.
YouTube is a video sharing platform. It isn't meant to be used as an alternative to iTunes for your local media.

Are you wanting to upload songs you've recorded yourself? It should be easy enough to find software that can make a simple video with a still image, an audio file, and some titles.
