Is there an iDVD replacement to Blu-Ray DVD?

I realize that making DVDs are no longer of interest to Apple or most other companies mainly due to using a laptop with Keynote or Powerpoint. But, Apple's iDVD did offer such flexibility when came to putting video and slideshows together on one disc with such ease and workability when it came to customizing the menu page with variety of font styles and placement of text on the menu page. The only thing is iDVD doesn't burn Blu-Ray.

There's Toast and MyDVDPRO which are limited to customizing and placement of the text on screen, either allows both slideshow and video. All the templates are design for the consumer who may not care about customizing font style and placement on screen although both apps do burn a good Blu-Ray.

Is there anyone who has come across an app for burning Blu-ray similar to the features on iDVD?

Thank you.

This is not addressing your BlueRay issue but what I've done is get an external SSD drive with a USB 3 to SATA adaptor and install High Sierra on it.

The adaptor is only $7 @ Amazon and with a MacSales.com 250 GB SSD $45 or 500 GB SSD ($75) it's quite reasonable. Boot times for me is comparable to what my internal SSD boots at (~ 50 seconds w/5 EHDs mounting at boot time). It will run iDVD, iPhoto 9.6.1, iWeb 3.0.4 and iMovie 6 HD (lower right hand corner of page) very nicely as well as any other 32 bit app you might need later on.

l have one for High Sierra and one for Catalina. When Catalina is officially released I'll cone my curren Mojave boot drive to the Catalina drive and then upgrade to Catalina. As long as I don't upgrade my iMac to one that won't run High Sierra I'm in good position.
