Hi, can anyone recommend a dvd player BETTER than the one that comes with mojave please, the old player used to have equaliser, zoom and colour controls, the new one has nothing. Thanks

Looking for a good DVD player app for iMacs I watch movies my iMac from DVDs. The latest updates on iOS apparently did away with my ability to use the DVD player app that come with the Macs. I have a brand new Mac M1, and it cannot play my old DVDs -or my new ones either. I was told by an Apple adviser to download a DVD player app from the internet, and he suggested VLC. I downloaded VLC, but the visual quality is awful: my DVD movies that used to play sharp, crisp and color-balanced are playing fuzzy and in awful colors with VLC. No visual pleasure there. And I don't see settings in the VLC app that can be tweaked for higher visual experience. I need a quality DVD player app! Who can recommend me a good app for my purpose? Thank you.

Apple external DVD player I just purchased a 24" Apple computer. It is running Ventura 13.1 with an M1 chip. It does not have a DVD player. I am trying to find a cd/dvd player compatible for this computer. I purchased some cheaper players from Amazon only to find out they are not compatible. I have looked at the Apple site and the site does not list my new Apple computer as compatible. Any ideas???

Videolan's free 64-bit VLC media player can play DVD and has an an equalizer under the Window menu : Audio Effects. There are zoom controls on the Video menu, and color controls for subtitle foreground and background colors.
