Having problems with used MacBook Pro I bought...

I recently bought a MacBook Pro from someone online and they had told me they wiped the computer fully from any password requirements and such.

But after taking it home and trying to download something for college it told me that I needed a password to do so. After looking, it told me I needed an administrator password.

How do I get passed that? Is there anyway I can reset the computer to get rid of it?
