I had Apple Pay Cash so I used it at a gas station to put $20 dollars in it authorized it and then it charged me for my entire wallet. 32.37 and now I’m out of 12 dollars because of apple and don’t have any recourse to get my money back.

Where I live, the pre-authorization is only $1.00. A long time ago, Costco did $50.
That’s funny because one of the benefits of my Costco Visa is only $1 pre authorizations for gas.
Right now the charge is pending. Wait until it posts and, if still incorrect, challenge the gas station. You have a receipt, don't you? Dang! I forgot that you don't get receipts with the Apple Card, Oh well.
Most gas station pumps will do a pre-authorization for anywhere between $25-$75. After the transaction is complete they only charge you for what is charged but it takes 2-5 days for that to reflect on your card.
Same thing happened to me. Never used Apple Pay before. Was it resolved for you yet.
The just check the balance and the extra should be returned after a few days.
I'm going WAY back to when Costco used Amex.
