Escape Key on iPad Pro Smart Keyboard (11-inch)

I am looking for the escape key (or shutout to use it) on my iPad Pro 11-inch Smart Keyboard Folio. In the Microsoft Outlook app, when I hold down the command key while in a new message, one of the shortcuts listed is to use “escape”. But there is no escape key on the Smart Keyboard. I tried pressing cmd+[ as well as control+[ and neither option worked. Please tell me how to access the escape key referenced in the screenshot below.
