Phone switches apps and screens randomly

Hi all, I have an iPhone X and took it to the Genius Bar on Saturday. Hardware passed and software was updated. My phone randomly switches between screens, apps, freezes, and has a complete mind of its own. It will flip from Safari to Facebook to email rapidly and drop me from websites and take me to texting. My next Genius appt is Wednesday. The guy said it warrants being replaced if it happened again (which it is) but can't really use my phone for a couple days. Has anyone experienced this? And can you get help at Apple quicker than waiting for Genius Bar appt?
