This should have gone to "Community User". You have to use "The Alexa Mobile App" on a mobile device, login under your Amazon Account and have a Mobile Phone Number. They don't do Mac or anything other than "Mobile Devices". . .

You should be connecting your Echo to your home network, not your MacBook. Why do you think you need to connect it to your MacBook?
