Why does the US Holidays in the iCloud Calendar include foreign and unknown holidays, ie...Ashura on Sept. 9th, beginning of Ramadan May 6th?

Hello seattleisgreen!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. I understand you’re curious about why there are events like Ramadan and Ashura showing up on the US Holidays calendar. The holidays calendars include the traditional, official government, and religious holidays for different religions. With the case of Ramadan and Ashura, both are religious holidays. You can learn more about holiday calendars here:  About holiday calendars on iOS and macOS

If you’d like to leave feedback about the events you’re seeing on the calendar you can leave feedback on this page: Feedback - iPhone

Cheers!
