why won't my keyboard allow me to change its name?

I have an apple keyboard and cannot change its name. I have tried going through "bluetooth" and right clicking, tried going to system preferences "keyboard", etc.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks ...I did the proverbial :>"Remove Device", re-added it then selected "CTRL+select". It then allowed me to rename.

FWIW, I just checked the page I just linked and it appears the option to rename a Bluetooth device has been removed in Mojave.
