Hi , is there any way to add an app to the dock whilst ALSO keeping the app accessible through the same general menu as usual ?

If you are asking if an app can be placed on the dock and also be on the home screen at the same time, the answer is no, it can't. The App icon can be in one location only. That's means either the dock if you want it there or on your home page, or in a folder of apps.
