News app not working in US: Channel unavailable

Hello,

I’m becoming mad with the News app.

In “Today” section I have “No stories”, how can be possible?

In the “Following” section practically for any channel I retrieve the message “Channel Unavailable”. I have tried with National Geographic, Wired, Vox, Vice, The New Yorker...

The “Spotlight” section is populate with different contents but mostly of them, if clicked, I retrieve the same message: “Channel Unavailable”.

It is frustrating, the phone has been purchased in US, I have an US number and I’m located in US. I have checked the location in US and it’s correct.

I have an iPhone SE update with the last iOS release 12.4.1.

How this problem can be solve?

Thanks

iPhone SE

Hello MicRio,

Thanks for posting about the issue with the News app. I'm glad to see how I can help out.

To start, does it help if you Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch?

How about if you tap Settings > [name] > iCloud > News, and then toggle News to off and back on?

Also, I notice you're currently on cellular data. Try connecting to Wi-Fi and test again; does that make a difference?

Take care!
