where do I find my MP3 player ?

I have a new iMac and need to transfer music from my dropbox to my MP3 player. However, I can't find the location of the MP3 player. It is connected to a USB port.

Depends entirely on the MP3 player.

Consult its user manual for where its supposed to be seen.

Many may appear in Finder as a USB drive, but may need to have a setting turned on, on them for that to work.

What brand and model of MP3 player is this?

Thank you. You are definitely on the right track. I ended up speaking to Apple support and we found it. It had to do with the preference settings and my novice knowledge of the Mac! Also the name was vastly different that the make or model of the MP3 player.
