"Could not sign in" I receive the verification on my phone but the 6 digit code line doesn't appear on my iPad so i cannot type it in.
Also I cannot update my iPad, says 'connect your device' to iTunes on computer to update software. How can i fix this. I reset it already, but still doesn't work. Is anyone having the same problem?
Okay - so that's a first generation ipad air. It can update to iOS 12, but since you are 4 versions behind, you need to use a computer.

In Settings>General>About, what's listed for model? What's listed for iOS version?
That will help us determine what version of iOS you can get to.

What version of iOS is currently on your iPad?
It may not be able to update to 12 over wifi.
