iPhone 6s Smart Battery Case won't charge unless bent correctly

I have an iPhone 6s with the Smart Battery Case. I put the case on the phone after making sure it's fully charged, and nothing happens. Only when I apply pressure to both the top and bottom of the phone, or bend the bottom outward, does it start charging. Any help in resolving this issue?

If you purchased this case recently directly from Apple, you should be able to return it for a refund or a replacement. If you got it from another source, you will need to negotiate with them on their return/replacement policy.
