connect USB-C external drive to TB2 equipped Mac

Here's the rub - I bought an OWC Envoy Pro EX:

Its fantastic, works great with a 2018 MBP, or with any Mac that is equipped with USB-C ports.

Copies 2Gb files with no copy dialogue! Love this drive.

But now I need to occasionally connect to one of my older Thunderbolt 2 enabled iMacs...

Does anyone sell an adaptor to pull this off?

There are a couple of ways that should work:

1) Connect a Thunderbolt 3 dock (with two Thunderbolt 3 ports) to the old Mac with Apple's adapter, then plug the OWC drive into the second port on the dock.

2) Connect a Thunderbolt 3 drive (with two ports) to the old Mac with Apple's adapter, then plug the OWC drive into the second port.

and one way that might work:

Connect a Thunderbolt 3 drive that has both USB and Thunderbolt 3 ports to the old Mac via USB, then then plug the OWC drive into one of its Thunderbolt 3 ports.
