My iphone 8 screen is covered in colorful lines that look like barcodes and will not go away even after force reset. i did not drop my phone recently but i did update it. what’s causing this and how how can i fix this ?

Bring it to Apple or the nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider.
Looking at some of those huge numbers in the red circles, I strongly suspect your iPhone’s storage is full.
Check Settings > General > iPhone Storage and be certain your free space is never less than 10% of the iPhone’s total storage.
I have more than enough storage so i’m unsure as to what’s going on ? After the vertical lines are there for a while or I switch between apps, the bottom of my screen starts mirroring the top and has horizontal lines. Even before that however, the horizontal lines are somewhat in the middle. Is there anything you can think of that will help with that? I will attach a picture of what my phone currently looks like.
