Apple Series 5 watch band sizes and how to choose?

Band size for Series 5 watch:

Medium- Band fits 150–185mm wrists.

Large-Band fits 180–210mm wrists.

Band size for Series 3 watch

S/M and M/L

I currently have the M/L band on my Series 3 watch (42mm).

Apple says the 42mm band fits 140-210 mm wrists.

What size band would I choose for the Series 5 watch (44m)? Medium or Large?

Measure your wrist to see how many mm around it is. Then buy the appropriate size band.

Interesting point. Decided to upgrade my wife’s Hermes watch from series 2 to 5. She liked the 44 mm as the larger case gives a better fashion statement. She also has a regular Apple 44mm stainless series 4. Loves the larger size. She has a 6 inch wrist. The Hermes series 2 is 38mm.

The new Hermes black in 40mm is out of stock, Can not be ordered. No idea when.

The 44mm Hermes strap is too big for her wrist. Different fit than Apple straps.

In addition to the oversized strap, we wanted the 40mm as she has three Hermes 38 mm bands costing $ 800. What to do?

On a whim, we tried fitting the 38 mm bands on her 44mm space black stainless.

They all fit perfectly. The double cuff looks better on the 44mm than the 38mm Hermes it came with. It always looked too large for the smaller case.

However, when we tried putting the 44 mm bands on the 38mm case, it locked but the lugs were visible. Not a good look.

We are ordering her the 44mm Space Black Hermes. I’ll take the oversized strap for my regular Apple Watch and she is set with her 38mm bands. I will go to a jewelry store to find out if an extra hole can be added to the too large strap that comes with the watch. If not, I’ll take it.
