Adobe Acrobat Pro

Good day,

Currently I am using the following system:

MacBook Pro, Mid-2015

macOS 10.14.6

My question is this: are there any bins fide alternatives to Adobe Acrobat Pro? Currently I use version 10.0.0. It is my understanding that Adobe Acrobat Pro might not run under Catalina (10.15).

Also, Adobe pushes me toward a cloud-based product; I cannot put 100% confidence in that of product.

Can anyone recommend a strong alternative?

Kindly respond to the email shown below.

Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

George

Acrobat Pro 10 is not supported on Mojave by Adobe. The current version and the one that first added Mojave compatibility is Adobe Acrobat Pro DC v2019.*. If Acrobat Pro 10 is 32-bit, then it will not work on Catalina.

You interest in alternatives will depend on what features of Acrobat that you presently depend. Here is an alternative, non-subscription shortlist:

  1. PDFPen 11.1 $75USD, PDFPenPro 11.1 $125 USD
  2. Master PDF Editor $70 USD

Both Item 1 products are in the Mac App Store. All items have trial versions from the vendor's website. Note that PDFPenPro 11 trial blocks certain features until it is purchased — like PDF to Word conversion. These are time limited trials. If you need to redact content look closely how each vendor achieves it. Both support forms too as you would expect.
