Input Settings for GarageBand
Is it possible for my AirPods to be the input recording device on GarageBand?
MacBook Pro Retina
I tried. What happens is the input mic has to be the built-in mic, and the output mic has to be the AirPods.

However, the audio quality is likely to be low:
