I am currently in “family” in Apple Music and we have family subscription for Apple Music and everything worked good but when I recently changed a region in my Apple ID Apple Music stopped to work and now it requests me to activate subscription. So if the leader of our family has a region different of mine it doesn’t work?

Correct - you all have to be living in the same country, and therefore using the same country's store.
