On live phone call but not allowing me to return to call. In XS green bar no longer appears. Suggestions?

On a voice call, have difficulty using any app and switching back to call. I can’t go back. I see live apps but phone call doesn’t appear. Person is still on the phone.

No more green bar to click in UI during a call. It’s hard to multitask. Can’t be on phone while mapping.
