Keystroke for moving an entire folder up one step in tree?

Is there a Finder keystroke for moving an entire folder up one step in a hierarchical tree - as opposed to drag and drop? This would be really helpful when dealing with folders within long lists that need to be moved and dragging beyond the top or bottom of the window gets wonky.

Thanks,

M.

Yes.

Select the child folder that you want to move up one level and press ⌘-C to copy it. Press ⌘-↑ to move up to the child's parent folder, and then press ⌥⌘-V to move the child to peer status with its former parent.
