coconutBattery vs iOS current charge level discrepancy

Just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal. I've used it before and charge level would be within maybe 5%. Even when the device was being used it would stay at 100% while coconutBattery would report that it had gone down a bit. I understand this is pretty normal, but recently something seems off. Even at 100% on the screen, coconutBattery is reporting about 90% charge level.
