Air Duster damage

I recently used an air duster to clean the keyboard of my MacBook Pro. I inadvertently sprayed toward the bottom right hand corner of the screen. https://jmp.sh/hvX1iXF . The damage is obvious and I believe it is due to the extremely cold temperature of the compressed air. I have taken it to my local apple store and they also inform me that the liquid sensors also indicate a presence of fluid. This may or may not be from the air duster, but I believe it probably is. Does anyone have any experience of this? I'm intending to write to the manufacturer and also the supermarket that sold the product as I'm facing considerable costs to rectify the damage. I've no experience of how to instigate a complaint so any advice would be much appreciated.

I'm sorry your laptop was damaged. It is an unfortunate accident. Most cans of compressed air state in their directions to hold the can upright when spraying the air. Perhaps it could be more clearly stated that when the can is tipped too far the can will spray some moisture with the air and it could be extremely cold. However, most manufacturers don't explain the reasons for their directions (looking at you Apple), so it falls to the user to follow the directions precisely or learn more about the product to understand the consequences of using it incorrectly. You can contact the manufacturer of the product using the information listed on the can or packaging. The supermarket has no responsibility on how the product is used by the customer.

I've accidentally damaged my fair share of items over the years (some quite expensive as well and not always my own) so I know how bad and frustrated you must feel. I kick myself for days afterward, but I always chalk it up to another life lesson learned the hard way.

FYI, here is the science behind a can of compressed air:

I still feel that there is liability with the manufacturer through insufficient information.

You need to accept responsibility for the accidental damage. Aside from what you term "insufficient" information, there is still something called common sense. Personally, I have never used canned air, but if I were, I would carefully drape something over the screen/lid so as not to accidentally hit it. I would also not spray it where any of it could seep inside - as everyone knows: electronics and liquids do not mix.
