Notification for iPhone out of range

Is Apple planning to add the ability to have your watch notify you when your phone becomes out of range? This would be very helpful to prevent accidentally leaving your phone behind.

If Apple Watch becomes disconnected from the paired iPhone, then it will show a disconnected icon on the watch face:

Apple Watch does not otherwise offer any audible, haptic or visual alerts when taken out of range of the paired iPhone.
