Windows Migration Assistant

I'm trying to migrate data from a Win 10 Acer Aspire onto a Mac Mini running El Capitan. The Migration Assistant on the Win 10 machine won't start the process because it says Windows Mail is running, but it isn't. I've uninstalled Mail; tried booting in Safe mode; turned off startup items ans Windows Services on bootup. Still the same thing.

Migration Assistant Downloaded migration assistant for pc to mac, installed it, but when I run it, it says that I have to close a program that is running, windows mail. I removed mail from my pc, but it continues to say that I must quit mail. Apple Mail Issues and Migration Assistant I am having issues opening the Apple Mail application on my old Macbook Pro since I updated to Catalina last month. I am concerned if using Migration Assistant will cause the problem to occur in my new Macbook Pro M1 that comes in next week. Any ideas?

Help using migration assistant moving mail from PC Outlook to new macbook air According to this article: Move your data from a Windows PC to your Mac https://support.apple.com/HT204087 it should be possible to move all data from my pc running Windows 10 including my mail data from Outlook 365 (32bit) version 2101 to Apple mail in our new MacBook Air M1 running Big Sur 11.2.1. Everything moved successfully EXCEPT mail accounts and messages from Outlook. The actual .PST file (less than 2 GB) did transfer to the documents folder but did not "migrate" into Apple mail and of course Apple mail won't just import a .pst file. Has anyone had this problem or know a workaround? Thanks in advance.
