High CPU % Readout of LSD & TCCD

Every time I boot my Mac mini 2018, running Mojave 10.14.6, the LSD (CPU) readout is 248.8 % and the TCCD is 215.8 %. The iStat Menus CPU and Activity Monitor readout is roughly 55%. After 8 to 10 minutes, this will get back to a normal state with readout being around 4%. Is there a way for me to find out why the readout is so high at startup? Thanks.

All depends on how much stuff you have that loads up at

boot time as the CPU will multitask loading up all the various items.

Things like Goole Drive, One Drive, Dropbox, etc. need to "phone

home" to insure all is in sync along with any other apps you have loading

up at boot time. Plus, there is all the iCloud stuff that has to be

loaded up and updated, Update manager checking for system updates.

So, to get all of this done as quickly as possible, the CPU will run full tilt,

using all its cores if possible until it is done.

I agree with @woodmeister50. I've seen some systems take at least 30 minutes to settle down due to all the Startup & Login items, plus all those apps & services checking for updates. If anti-virus software is installed, then this could take even longer. Best thing to do is start it up and walk away for 15 minutes before trying to do any work. Or disable some of the Startup or Login items to help with the startup ready time.
