Stray questions about the trade in process

Is there any reason to remove the SIM from my IPhone before trading it in? Also, assume no need to return the cable or the SIM tool or headphones that originally came with it?

Once you have properly prepared the trade-in phone for trade (see the link below), you should absolutely remove the sim card from the phone. It is not required to send back the cable, charging brick or sim removal tool.
