How to join songs on iTunes 12.10 on PC (not via CD)

How to join songs on iTunes 12.10 on PC (not via CD). I downloaded a mixed CD where the tracks are numbered correctly and sorted correctly in Windows Explorer. However, once they are added to a playlist in iTunes, they don't play in the correct order, even though they appear in the correct order on the screen.

How can I join the songs into on long track so I can easily avoid this?

You cannot join CD tracks in iTunes once they've been imported, it is a feature only available when ripping. There are third party tools that can merge tracks into on, or you can arrange your playlist such that the tracks are in the correct order and then play without shuffling.
