I first said... "I have never heard of a TV having a coaxial digital audio input"
Followed by "the MacMini certainly does not have an coaxial digital output."
The output(s) on a Dell have no relevance to either comment.

If you were to Google it, you would know what I know: That SPDIF is a protocol, not an interface. A SPDIF signal can be carried by either a coaxial or optical interface.

You keep missing a significant point. The Mac Mini has NO coaxial digital output. The OP is using a Mac Mini. Therefore, the connection in question is not coaxial digital.
