Why doesn’t automation run automatically

I recently removed people from my “Home” app removing their access to control my home. Now my automations do not run automatically such as when I leave or arrive home. I always get a notification now asking me if I want to run the scene.

Any my advice on how to correct this would be appreciated.

Hi, Algee30044,

Thanks so much for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. If I understand your post, you've recently removed some individuals from access to your Home app, and since one of your automations doesn't actually automate. Instead, it asks if you'd like to run it. I'm happy to help!

Since you've made some changes to control of the Home app by removing individuals from control, I'd recommend starting by making sure that your automation settings are applicable to you as the individual user/controller, and that the automation is turned on: Create home automations with the Home app - Apple Support.

In addition, make sure that you don't have any other conflicting or duplicate rules set (example: if your automation is set to turn lights on in your hallway when you get home, make sure that there isn't a separate automation or scene that also turns those lights on).

Cheers!
