I could use some help in removing an older Yahoo email address associated with my Apple ID.

I have tried to remove my older Yahoo email address from Apple ID, but it continues to come up on my MAC and iPad. I received a confirmation email from Apple stating that email address was deleted, but it continues to come up. How do I remove it permanently?

Did you do a name change to your existing Apple ID or create a new ID? Have you done the suggested steps in the article below?

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support

If you have created a new ID, check the App Store and iTunes Store to see if there are any updates for apps/purchases. A request for another Apple ID password is often caused by updates to apps/purchases that were made when using the other ID. Those purchases are tied to the other ID and can't be transferred. One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.
