I recieved a text

"your apple id verification code is 704XXX. if you haven't requested this code then call Apple Support team immediately on 1-888-202-4232"

i never requested a code.

is this legit?

Received suspicious text I received a text giving me a verification code, which I did not request. It stated to call 888-262-0222. I did and this did not sound like Apple Support. Is it?
