I received a text giving me an Apple ID verification code and telling me if I haven

I received a text from 845-285-1060 giving me an Apple ID verification code and telling me if I haven't requested it to call 888-***-4232. Is this legit?

It is a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. You can use the address below to forward the suspect email message, as an attachment to Apple.
