Apple upgrade program

I don’t have a credit score as I’ve just turned 18, if I had a guarantor would I be able to join the program. I have a phone reserved for Friday but do not want to be turned away on the day.

You will have to call Apple and ask them. Their documentation makes no mention of using a guarantor - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209218

BTW, if you have an SSN, you have a credit record on file with the reporting agencies. It may not have much in it to work with, but the record is there. So you should use your annual free reports to see what actually is on file for you too - https://www.ftc.gov/faq/consumer-protection/get-my-free-credit-report. Goldman Sachs uses TransUnion so make sure age, address and everything is correct (because they really don’t do much proactively to correct mistakes or errors in your file)
