New iPhone Upgrade Programme Contract during Store Lockdown

There is currently no way to sign up to the iPhone Upgrade Program without a visit to the store. England is going on a 1 month lockdown and not sure if there are alternate ways to sign up to the upgrade programme and have the phone shipped?

Looks like IUP will be unavailable in UK for sometime until lockdown restrictions are lifted

Surely if ID verification is the only thing stopping them to do this virtually, this could be done online. I hope apple comes up with an alternative
