Large downloads to an app showing as system usage

I use the Tidal app. I download hifi or master albums for offline listening. The first time I did this the 10GB of downloads showed up under the Tidal app in iPhone storage, as expected. The second large group of downloads I just did shows in the app itself, but is shown under system files in Settings|General|iPhone storage instead of under Tidal storage as the first large set of downloads did. At least I’m assuming the downloads are showing under system usage, since they aren’t showing up as Tidal app usage, and I can’t think of what else would have increased my system usage by 15GB. Any thoughts on this?

Replying to myself: When I checked iPhone Storage the next day, everything was normal. The large downloads were now reflected on the Tidal app storage usage, and the system storage usage was back down to 8.9GB, which is normal for my 256GB iPhone XR. So I would suggest that anyone wait a few hours to see if system storage returns to normal after doing a large download. My question for any iPhone system expert: is there some kind of processing that is going on in the background after a large download?
