global search not working

I have three 4k Apple TVs, two of which on my primary account work great. One we've set up on a new account for my partner, and on that one global search does not work. Any query gives the error message "Sorry, I can't help you with that." I have no idea where to start troubleshooting this, as everything else on the unit works and has connectivity.
