Time machine

My TM is working - I have icon on top of menu bar but cannot see it at bottom - I thought it used to be there. I have clicked "show TM on menu bar" and it is there but not at bottom.

Am I imagining it was there once?

Open Applications, drag the Time Machine icon to theDock.

it only show up in the lanuch bar if you pin it there or if you open the time machine config and restore dialogs

right click on it when you have it running and choose keep in the dock

I only can see TM icon in preferences. I can where it is in top menu bar.

I want to have it on bottom task bar - next to system preferences cog wheel - is that possible?
