Macbook Pro will not connect to wifi extender

Just installed an extender and two iPads connect with no poroblem, but Macbook Pro will not connect. It "sees" the router and the extender but will connect to neither.

All my devices.... iPhone , iPad, iMac etc connect to the internet....My MacBook Pro will not

Airport Utility on my devices show the AirPort Extreme connected to my Time Capsule and the Time Capsule connected to the internet.

My MAC book shows the AirPort Extreme connected to the Time Capsule but the Time Capsule not connected to the internet.

also, I tried to use the hotspot from my iPad on the Mac book ...... that doesn’t work either.

my software version is Catalina 10.15
