System working on his own

My iphone x “gets crazy” and starts to move from one app to another on his own. The only thing that stops it from continuing doing it- is to turn pff the phone. Is this a common damage on this iphone model??

That's symptomatic of a failing touchscreen.

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar and have it checked.

Do a : Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If no joy, make a genius bar appointment with Apple for an evaluation.

They have diagnostic tools and can tell you what options you have.

I have an XR and that doesn’t happen to me. It is not common at all. Try a forced restart and see if the behavior goes away.

Press and release the volume up button.
Press and release the volume down button.
Press and hold the side button.
When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
