sound quality
just replugged my sound system to iMac after a move, sound quality is terrible, like half the data is missing, virtually no voices, or bass or highs...

What sound system and how is it connected to your iMac?
In addition to resetting the SMC, recheck all of the connections and then reset the NVRAM.
