mid 2015 macbook pro 13” ssd upgrade suggestions

Hi All.

I have a mid 2015 macbook pro 13” with Retina display. That I want to upgrade the SSD drive to.

have been out of the loop for a while so don’t know much on brands and what I should be looking for.

Currently it has a 128 gigs. Will be upgrading to Catalina when available.

I’ve been reading and I guess some drives that are been sold now. Even do they would work are not as fast as the original drive. So I want to make sure I don’t end up with a lower performing drive with just a bunch or extra storage space.

I’m thinking something around 500 gigs should be enough.

Recommendations and experiences greatly appreciated.
